Blancpain Ref. 5335, Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar!

Blancpain ref. 5335, the minute repeater perpetual calendar! It is unclear wether the 3974 patek or the 5335 blancpain was the first serially produced perpetual repeater. One thing for sure is that it is sleeker, smaller than the 3974, also a fraction of its cost! Case is made by legendary JHP! It is very sleek at around 10mm packed in a 34mm case, the slider cleverly tucked under the bezel, totally making it a stealth watch! From distance this could be easily mistaken for a 5395.

The repeater itself sounds very loud, note the video in my last slide, you can in-fact hear the watch chime from across the room! Surprising how well such a small watch could sound so loud and melodic!

Known to be made in around 60 examples, with a retail price of around 190,000 CHF in the 90s which equates to almost half a million today( inflation adjusted )! This watch is a bargain today!
