Universal Genve Skeleton watch
Incredible and rare Universal Geneve skeleton watch. This watch was commissioned by the Musée international d'horlogerie(International museum of horology) in the 80s. Universal Geneve manufactured and Franklin mint marketed this watch. It was produced in limited quantities and each watch is unique because of the variation in skeletonization and engraving.
The master watchmakers at UG made this watch entirely by hand. The skeleton frames were created by tiny drills and saws and then engraved by hand. The frames were then assembled with a manual wind movement and cased in 18k gold. The watch turned out to be so beautiful and elegant that the Museum decided to include one of these pieces in their permanent collection.
